The East: society of taboo, society of incest

In the perversive love of the Middle East, the sexual pleasure is not as much at stake as identification. Incestuality is primarily a matter of the climate prevailing in society, a family-dominated society, an eroticized family, which is closed for the public penetration. Many Arab countries have some of the highest rates of consanguineous marriages in the world, especially marriages between first cousins, which can be as high as 65% of all marriages. In Oman, 35 out of 1,000 newborns have severe developmental defects, mainly due to the prevalence of autosomal recessive diseases.
Based on a completely different material than the spiritual incest of the Christian West, I will gladly share with you the realities of incestuous relations in the Arab-Muslim world and an analysis of the threat that subject`s identification faces. The entire clinic of the modern Middle East is essentially tied to the question of identification. After all, any connection established within the framework of the family must necessarily acquire a ternary form of the father-mother-child type, and not a binary one by exclusion of the third parties, when a brother is simultaneously a brother and a husband, which leads to misery and unbearable rivalry, impossible identification and psychosis, as a consequence not so much of the prohibition and its violation, as of its absence.
