Description

Europe used to have a sense of safety, believing a large-scale war wouldn’t erupt within its borders. It could not foresee that after the spread of the pandemic, a war would begin inside Europe with the involvement of all international forces.
Russia’s barbaric invasion of Ukraine isn’t just a war; it’s a direct attack on the democratic values of Europe, which today are the promise of universal democracy.
It is this very heart of Europe that Putin is attacking. We know the rhetoric of his propaganda against everything that conflicts with patriarchy in democracy.
To specify our thesis, we can say that the conflict between the West and the East today is about a confrontation between civilizations.
Post-Oedipal and tyrannical Oedipal civilization. Deleuze and Guattari in Anti-Oedipus already spoke of this confrontation with “non-Oedipal civilization.”
President Zelenskyi and the Ukrainian people stand as a powerful symbol of hope. Their resolve is fueled by a global outcry against aggression, a united front of those who say “no” to injustice. Ukrainians were able to withstand the high price of their destruction in the hope that the West would respond to their desire for democracy. Let’s mobilize democratic forces to save Ukraine and develop this new hegemony with all countries that strongly express the desire for democracy. In this discussion, we offer a political and psychoanalytic reading of this threat of mass destruction of the West, because the power of the word, lost and then found again, gives rise to the hope of a diplomatic “solution”, which is the only chance to say “No to the death drive”.
More than ever, the world stands on the edge: words or death.
